Your feed

How your social media feed works.

You should not have to guess why a post appeared. These are our planned feed rules, with room for you to question them.

Following starts with the newest post.

See published posts from the people you follow, in time order. Likes do not push an old post above a new one. Editing a post does not send it back to the top.

Read the exact rule: following-1

Eligible posts are ordered by publication time, newest first, then by ID descending to break ties. Blocked, hidden and otherwise unavailable posts are excluded before delivery.

Discover follows the topics you choose.

Choose what interests you. Discover takes turns between those topics, so one does not fill the whole page. If you have not chosen any, we ask you to choose rather than guess.

The planned ranking gives no extra weight to likes, outrage or time spent watching.

Read the exact rule: discover-1

The specification takes one eligible post per selected topic per cycle, up to 20 posts per page. Each author may contribute at most two posts across the first 100 snapshot candidates.

These are deterministic rules: the same eligible inputs produce the same ordering. Production feed behavior has not yet been verified against this specification.

What would you change?

Feed suggestions are sent from inside the Manthar Android app, where a signed-in account keeps its reference receipt. This website stays readable without an account, and it does not accept submissions yet.

Changes should be visible.

The current plan is version 1, published in September 2026. We will record changes here with the rule affected and the reason. A submitted suggestion is not an accepted change, and we do not have a review time to promise yet.
